With The Family Place’s Trailblazer Luncheon taking place just two weeks ago and its mega-fundraising Partner’s Card program kicking off this Friday, word has just arrived about a change in leadership at one of the area’s top non-profits helping domestic violence victims.
According to a statement provided by The Family Place, “Mimi Sterling is stepping back and has resigned her position as CEO of The Family Place. Mimi shared with the board and The Family Place staff she plans to spend more time with her family and eventually return to professional life. The Family Place is grateful to Mimi for her service over the last two years and we wish her all the very best in this next chapter. The Family Place Chief Client Services Officer Tiffany McDaniel has been named Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO. The board of directors led by the executive committee intends to conduct an exhaustive and thorough search for our next CEO. In the meantime, the staff and board of The Family Place remain committed to our mission of ending domestic violence and continuing to serve the hundreds of women and men who rely on us for shelter and support.”
It was just two years ago, on August 7, 2021, that it was reported that “Neiman Marcus VP Mimi will join The Family Place in mid-September to take over the reins as Paige [Flink] transitions to an advisor role.”
