For 14 years Scott Wood has been a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas. Over those years, the organization’s signature fundraising golf tournament has made it through major changes — the death of its namesake Byron Nelson, venue changes, major sponsorship adjustments and the topsy-turvy developments in the professional golf world.
It was recently announced that Scott had been named president of the Dallas-based non-profit as it celebrates its 104th year.
Prior to taking on this new role, Scott served as board chair of the Momentous Institute, which is the beneficiary of the Club’s efforts.
According to Scott, “Throughout the year, this collective group of individuals works passionately to raise money through The CJ Cup Byron Nelson golf tournament to support thousands of children and their families through Momentous Institute. There is truly no other organization like ours and I’m honored to be a part of it. It is going to be a great year!”
Joining Scott in the Club’s leadership are the following:
- First Vice President Jay McAuley
- Second Vice President Marcus Knight
- Secretary Carlos Peña
- Treasurer James Lozier
- Momentous Institute Board Chair Tony Dona
- Salesmanship Club Charitable Golf of Dallas Board Chair Tim Costello
Newly selected members on the board are the following: Frankie Basso, Jeff Eckert, Christian Meten, Robert Engstrom, Jason Kulas, Tim Marron, Guy Kerr, Charley Spradley and R. Robert Engstrom.
