According to 2024 Healing Hand Luncheon Co-Chairs Christy Berry and Nancy Scripps,
“We have the pleasure of serving as co-chairs of the third annual Healing Hands Luncheon, benefiting HHM Health (formerly Healing Hands Ministries) scheduled for March 2024 at The Arts District Mansion. While the featured speaker and luncheon date are being finalized in the coming weeks, we encourage everyone to learn more about HHM Health and the far-reaching services that the organization provides.
HHM Health’s mission is to provide quality healthcare to all its neighbors with love, compassion and respect. The organization’s leaders’ vision is to be the best patient-focused health center by providing personalized, physical, mental and spiritual care for every individual.
“Healing Hands Ministries has multiple service lines including behavioral health, dental, pediatric, two family-practice clinics, women’s clinic and the Rosewood Vision Center. During 2022, Healing Hands had more than 57,000 patient visits. Since its inception in 2007, Healing Hands Ministries has continued to serve the uninsured and underserved in Dallas and surrounding areas with compassionate, quality, and affordable healthcare.
“According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Dallas healthcare crisis numbers are staggering:
- “39% of Dallas population is uninsured
- “11% of Dallas children are uninsured
- “60% of Emergency Room visits are for primary care services
- “49% of residents with low income are uninsured
“HHM Health leaders stress that ‘quality healthcare is a basic human need and many in our community who are living in poverty do not have access to quality care. HHM is critical to solving this problem by providing barrier-free access to quality healthcare to many of those in need.’
“Our goal is to make next year’s luncheon even more successful than the 2023 luncheon that featured Olympic skating champion and author Scott Hamilton who was enthusiastically received by a sold-out crowd.
“The 2024 event will also include presentation of the Healthcare Innovator Award. Previous recipients are Rosewood Corporation and Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas. We look forward to honoring another worthy recipient again next Spring. Stay tuned for important luncheon details that will be announced soon!
