While professionals, collegiate and area school teams will be competing on fields and diamonds, restaurateurs and chefs are going to be battling it out with skillets in hand and stoves heating up for the Network of Community Ministries’ Annual Fork-Off.
Taking place on Saturday, October 21, with a VIP reception starting at 6 p.m. at Network’s new headquarters at
, the evening will include dancing, live and silent auctions, a creative apron contest and sampling the entries by Anaya’s Kitchen, Beyond the Bar, Desperados, The Fifth, Fresh Art Foodie, Guitars and Growlers, Lockwood Distilling Co., Mojo’s Java, Monkey King Noodle Company, Northside Drafthouse, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Shady’s, Tejano Brothers and Tongue in Cheek Ice Cream.Monica and Glenn Scott, who chaired the Network’s Capital Campaign for its new headquarters, will serve as Fork-Off honorary co-chairs.
According to Network CEO Abbie Kauffman, “Fork-Off is great celebration of our community. We will also be celebrating Monica and Glenn who have been instrumental in Network’s ability to be an ongoing safety net for our many neighbors in need. We are so pleased to honor the Scotts at this year’s event.”
