Pam Busbee has hardly had time to find a place for her Junior League of Dallas Sustainer of Year Award than she’s already on board for another fundraiser.
Luckily, she’s being joined by Dallas designer Patti Flowers to co-chair the 14th Annual Each Moment Matters Luncheon.
And this ain’t their first rodeo together. The twosome partnered up for the 2011 Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon.
Slated for Tuesday, September 12, at the Hilton Anatole, the keynote speaker will be Jason Rosenthal.
So, just who is Jason Rosenthal?
An attorney, he was married for 26 years to author Amy Krouse Rosenthal, whose New York Times op-ed Modern Love column, “You may want to marry my husband?” went viral. The article was her creative way of letting go as she faced the final days of battling ovarian cancer. While Amy’s column was a “very public permission for Jason to move on and find happiness,” it didn’t relieve him of the process of grieving his loss. But it created a foundation for him to “process grief and find hope and joy amongst the pain.”
As a result he not only wrote the 2020 book “My Wife Said You May Want To Marry Me” and the best-selling children’s book “Dear Boy” with his daughter, Paris, he has earned a national reputation for helping others deal with life-changing grief.
Funds raised from the event will benefit Forefront Living Foundation’s Faith Presbyterian Hospice Care Fund.
