Since taking over the reins of Equest, CEO Myrshem George admitted at the 2023 Blue Ribbon Ball patron party last Thursday at Arlington Hall that all he’s heard in the office is “The gala! The gala! The gala!”
And with good reason.
With tickets and sponsorships moving faster than National Treasure at the Preakness, Ball Co-Chairs Lindsay Ballotta and Jenny Merkle and Honorary Co-chairs Kristina and Phil Whitcomb have revealed some additions to the evening of Saturday, June 3, at Texas Horse Park featuring keynote speaker Clint Bruce and awards being presented to recently retired Equest CEO Lili Kellogg and Nancy and Ron Natinsky.
With the Belmont Stakes just a week later, guests will be able to try their own racing skills virtually by riding a Kentucky Derby horse and learn to fly thanks to AVSD Productions during the evening.
In addition to guests visiting the Equest residents on their way down to the Hill Family Arena, the sounds of music will be provided by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Concert Truck with founders/musicians Nick Luby and Susan Zhang performing.
Highlighting the beverages of the night will be a special cocktail featuring Mejinta Tequila with spices provided by Presenting Sponsor Pendery’s.
The five raffle packages include the following:
- a vineyard getaway for 5 guests at 4R Ranch Vineyards and Winery;
- a 2024 Byron Nelson PGA Tournament package including six one-day passes;
- a private cooking class for ten hosted at Vestals Catering;
- a private VIP brewery tour and complimentary tasting at Community Beer Co.; and
- six personalized dance lessons for a couple or single at Arthur Murray Dance Studios.
Individual tickets and sponsorships are available here with chances going for $25 each/five for $100.
Funds raised from the event will support Equest’s equine assisted therapy and activities.
