North Texans have long been known for having wine cellars stocked with delicious masterpieces of the grape. And a handful like Norma Hunt and Kathryn and Craig Hall have even gone so far as to have their own California vineyards.
A couple of those folks — Brenda and Clay Cockerell to be exact — will have their Coquerel Family Wine Estate honored at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League‘s 2023 Savor The Symphony on Thursday, April 13, at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas.
Event Co-Chairs Laura Downing and her former DSOL deb daughter Caroline Downing Gahm along with DSOL President Cynthia Beaird have arranged for a “lavish three-course, wine-paired dinner followed by a live auction.”
During the cocktail reception, guests will be able to bid on individual bottles of wine at a silent auction, enjoy a preview of the live auction packages and get the chance to take home a bottle of wine thanks to a wine pull.
And, of course, there will be a wine tasting of Coquerel wine.
Proceeds from the evening of wining and dining will benefit the Dallas Symphony Association and its education and community outreach programs, which include Kim Noltemy Young Musicians, Young Strings and the Cecil and Ida Green Youth Concert Series.”
While sponsorships start at $3,500, individual tickets range from $225 to $500.
