Preservation Park Cities*

With North Texas getting all prettied up with lawns turning from winter brown to spring green, it’s time for Preservation Park Cities 2023 Historic Home Tour activities to take place the first week in May.

This year Preservation Park Cities President Burton Rhodes and Home Tour Chair Christina Dandar have arranged for the following two in-person and one sit-at-home-and-visit-four-homes events:

Monday, May 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. – Patron Premiere sponsored by Coats Homes

Kicking off the PPC Home Tour, Patron Premiere Co-Chairs Meredith Ferrell and Courtney Petit have arranged for a get-together at Courtney’s home that is “a stunning example of George Marble‘s Country French architecture with recent updates suited for the modern era.” An added highlight of the evening will be author Caitlin Wilson signing copies of her new book “Return to Pretty.”

Wednesday, May 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Historic Home Tour Underwriters Party sponsored by Lucinda Buford at Allie Beth Allman, Legacy Texas Title

Thanks to Underwriters Party Chair Cory Bowen, the evening will take place at Toben and Graham Cocklin‘s estate with its home built in 1932 “in a style which can best be described as English Renaissance or Early Georgian.”

Preservation Park Cities Virtual Historic Home Tour online from Thursday, May 4, thru Thursday, May 11, sponsored by Highland Park Housekeeping, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, The Meredith Ferrell Group and the Ryan Group

4145 Shenandoah Avenue**
4405 Highland Drive***

No need to dress up, worry about weather or vie for parking for this year’s tour of four homes. You can just park at your place at your convenience to visit the video tour of this year’s four historic homes* (4145 Shenandoah Avenue, 4405 Highland Drive, 4319 Versailles Avenue and 4271 Bordeaux Avenue). While each one has its own unique architectural style, they are “wonderful examples of how architecturally significant homes can be renovated to fit the needs of today.”
