As April’s calendar fills to the brimming point, fashion is definitely on the forefront of what is happening. After all, April is the month that showcases spring and with it silky blouses, stiletto sandals and flirty skirts that flutter in the breeze.
One of the opportunities to check out the looks of the season is the Turtle Creek Association’s Azalea Luncheon on Tuesday, April 25.

Taking place at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, Luncheon Chair Sharon Ballew and Honorary Chair Deborah Stanford have arranged for a champagne reception and three-course luncheon and a Turtle Association update by TCA President/CEO JD Trueblood.
As for the fashions, they’ll be presented by Dallas’ own Betty Reiter, who has been putting together a store full of designer labels from Italy, Germany, Japan, England, France and, of course, the USA.
Tickets ranging from $275 to $2,500 and sponsorships starting at $5,000 will support TCA’s mission of being the “primary guardian, advocate and champion that leads in the preservation, enhancement and protection of Turtle Creek.” That includes irrigation and watering, litter and trash cleanup, maintaining 25 landscaped medians, helping to preserve 2,600 trees that provide a habitat for wildlife and providing the funds for drinking fountains, trash cans and benches along the Turtle Creek corridor.
