Everybody seems to be spinning from the topsy-turvy weather changes of late, with temperatures ranging from just above freezing to the 80s, but they needn’t be. That wide spread of degrees will soon settle down to temperatures that will throw air-conditioner techs into hyperdrive come summertime.

Luckily, Dallas CASA will cool activities with its annual Parade of Playhouses throughout NorthPark Center.
Right now area builders, designers, corporations and craftsmen are putting their noggins together to create an incredible array of whimsical mini-mansions that will parade in place and be up for raffle-grabbing.
It’s such a gangbuster program that Crest Auto Group (Crest Cadillac/Infiniti/Volvo) is returning as the presenting sponsors, with KDC serving as grand marshal.
Word has it that LRO Residential that has always had a showstopper playhouse is committed to raising eyebrows and funds for Dallas CASA.
While the talents get underway to create their show houses, don’t worry about bidding… yet. That will take place come Friday, July 14, when the parade starts its roll, until Sunday, July 30.
Fund raised from the event will go to Dallas CASA’s mission of “protecting children, restore childhoods and helping child victims of abuse or neglect achieve their full potential.”
FYI: Just this past year, 1,324 Dallas CASA volunteers were “assigned to advocate for 2,611 children in protective care.” The playhouses helped support that advocacy.
