Philanthropist and favorite volunteer Ola Fojtasek loves being around women. One reason might be because the ever-feminine Ola’s home life is one filled with men — husband Randall Fojtasek and their four sons.
That may explain why she’s rolled up her sleeves to support such women-driven fundraising efforts as Sweetheart Ball’s raising funds for heart disease research, Crystal Charity Ball‘s dedication to helping Dallas County children and Baylor Scott and White Dallas Foundation‘s Celebrating Women Luncheon’s providing funds for breast research and treatment.
It was her role as underwriting chair for the 2017 Celebrating Women fundraiser that made her aware of the amazing advancements in treating the disease that had resulted from the annual luncheon’s funding.
To continue her efforts to help women battle this disease, it was just revealed that Ola will chair the 2023 Celebrating Women Luncheon.
According to Ola, “As a mom to four boys, I am always looking for a reason to Celebrate Women! I had the honor of serving alongside Tucker Enthoven when she chaired the luncheon in 2017 and saw first-hand how we as a community can impact the fight against breast cancer. When I look at the list of former luncheon chairs, I am honored to be asked to serve. Baylor has always held a special place in my heart—my family and I have turned to them many times and received nothing short of exceptional care. I am honored to work with my friends at the Foundation to support this important cause this year.”
Upon learning of Ola’s acceptance, Baylor Scott and White Dallas Foundation Development VP Christina Goodman said, “Ola has been such a longstanding supporter and friend of Baylor Scott and White Dallas Foundation. We could not be more thrilled to have her at the helm this year. Her infectious personality and devotion to those around her make her one of a kind and we can’t wait to see what we will accomplish under her leadership in the fight against breast cancer.”
Stay tuned as details (i.e., date, location, underwriting chair, speaker, etc.) for the 2023 Celebrating Women Luncheon develop, and make that appointment for your mammogram.
In the meantime, if you’re in Austin, check out Ola’s son Michael Fojtasek‘s Olamaie’s Southern Food Restaurant or Little Ola’s Biscuits. Locals claim the biscuits are epicurean delights.
