Tuesday was a gangbuster of activity for North Texas non-profits. One event in particular featured a couple of surprises. It was the Callier Cares Luncheon patron party at the Shelby Family Collection, where the late Carroll Shelby’s automobiles belonging to his family are showcased.

As for the news resulting from the event, it was provided by Ludwig A. Michael MD Callier Center Executive Directorship Dr. Angela Shoup, who reported that Callier Family Campaign Co-Chairs Anne and John McPherson’s efforts had already raised $12.5M and were inching toward their goal of $15M. Benefiting the University of Texas at Dallas’ Callier Center for Communication Disorders, the campaign has been “structured around three areas of excellence in treatment, training and research, with donors able to specify which area they want to support.”
She also noted that Luncheon Chair Kim Hext was not only nearing the sold-out status for the luncheon at the Dallas Country Club on Monday, April 17, but that all proceeds from the event would go directly toward the capital campaign.
Angela recommended any stragglers had better get their reservations locked down or prepare to be on the much-dreaded waitlist.
