It must be the user-friendly temperatures, because news is springing like tulips. The latest to arrive will bring a smile to fashion lovers. It’s about The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Dallas’ 30th Anniversary Fashion Show And Luncheon.
Let’s get the basics down first. Tonight it was revealed that the fundraiser will return to the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center on Tuesday, May 16, with Ken Weber chairing the Chic Boutique that will take place the day of the fashion show, when eagle-eyed guests will snap up top-notch clothes, accessories and shoes.
Now for the surprises that Auxiliary President Jennifer Dix and Fashion Show And Luncheon Chair Kim Quinn have in store. First, it was announced that longtime Salvation Army supporter Michal Powell will receive the Margot Perot Services Award, and fashionista extraordinaire Jan Strimple will be the first recipient of the Legacy Award.
To handle the honorary chair duties, it will be a duo — Lisa and Clay Cooley.
Jennifer and Kim have added some extra perks to celebrate the anniversary that include:
- Special 30th Anniversary tables and tickets with special benefits
- A limited edition, specially designed 30th Anniversary scarf designed by local artist Liana Yarckin will be available for purchase, and
- An opportunity to host at your table a Salvation Army Ambassador, who will relay life-changing testimonies.
Underwriting co-chairs include Cara French, Melissa Sherrill Martin and Stacey Walker. So if you want to sign up in a big way, sign up here. Highland Park Village has already locked down the Runway Sponsorship.
Oh, and Kim is in high drive to collect more gently experienced clothes. If you have something that is taking up room in your closet but would be perfectly at home in someone else’ life, contact her here.
