According to 2023 St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Fashion Show Co-Chairs Katy Bock and Sunie Solomon,
“As co-chairs of the 2023 St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Fashion Show: Let Love Shine, our wish is that the community will join us on Monday, February 13, for the 39th annual luncheon, which will be held at the Meyerson Symphony Center and will benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
“The day will include a champagne reception, recognition of our 2023 award recipients, and a runway fashion show produced by Jan Strimple and featuring fashions by Highland Park Village – all followed by a seated luncheon.
“Most importantly the luncheon brings awareness to the mission of LLS: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the lives of patients and their families.
“For over 70 years, LLS works each day to create a world free of blood cancers through research, advocacy, and ongoing patient financial, educational and emotional support. Since 2000, more than 40% of the new cancer therapies approved by the FDA are for blood cancer. LLS is deepening its commitment to pediatric blood cancer by increasing its investment to $175M over the next five years. The next phase of The Children’s Initiative, The Dare to Dream Project, will fund research and the first global pediatric leukemia master clinical trial to accelerate better treatment and care. LLS will also grow its education and support services and advocacy efforts to help every kid with blood cancer get accessible, affordable, quality healthcare.
“We are so proud to chair the St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon, which was founded by Janet Evans and Rusty Duvall and has raised more than $14.5 million in its 39 years. We hope to see everyone on February 13!
