According to 2023 Cattle Baron’s Ball Co-Chairs Isabell Novakov Higginbotham and Andrea Cheek,
“The original Cattle Baron’s has raised more than $97 million for cancer research projects in North Texas since its inception in 1974. Our wish is that the community will join us in our goal to eradicate cancer by becoming underwriters of the 2023 Cattle Baron’s Ball.
“In the meantime, you can help fulfill our wish by honoring your loved ones this holiday season with gift that will help raise money for cancer research in North Texas. Honorariums and memorial gifts will be recognized at the ball next October and will be on the Cattle Baron’s website in 2023.
“We will reveal the 2023 headliner and ball details in January and encourage anyone interested in joining our campaign to contact us. Don’t miss the opportunity to join the fun in October of next year.

“The first Cattle Baron’s Ball was a full-fledged Texas barbecue under the chairmanship of Patti Hunt and Jacque Wynne. The event was a sellout with more than 500 guests attending the western theme party at Toddie Lee Wynne’s Star Brand Ranch.
“Through ticket sales and an auction, the Park Cities Branch of the American Cancer Society raised $56,000. The Cattle Baron’s ‘brand’ is so enduring that founder Jacque Wynne continues to actively participate in all Cattle Baron’s activities.
“Fifty years later, more than 108,000 guests have been entertained at the annual event which has become the world’s largest single event fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The Cattle Baron’s Ball Committee and the American Cancer Society have expanded the ball’s purpose to include a myriad of services that provide services for cancer patients and their families in North Texas.
“We hope you will join us by honoring a loved one or colleague on the Honor Wall this holiday season or by becoming an underwriter of the 2023 Cattle Baron’s Ball. Visit www.cattlebaronsball.com.”
