Philanthropist Annette Simmons has quite a history of helping the children of Dallas County. In addition to her being a Crystal Charity Ball underwriter for the past 42 years, she has just donated $1M for the 2022 CCB beneficiaries (Agape Clinic, Baylor Oral Health Foundation, Behind Every Door, Educational First Steps, Family Compass, Hope Supply Co., Southwestern Medical Foundation, United to Learn and the Crystal Charity Ball 70th Anniversary Project Action Before Crisis).
And this million-dollar donation isn’t her first. Far from it.
Over the past 16 years, Annette has annually made a gift of a million dollars to support CCB beneficiaries.
According to 2022 CCB Chair Susan Farris, “Annette has been our loyal partner with Crystal Charity for decades. Her continued and extraordinary support of our beneficiaries has had a substantial impact on the well-being of children living in Dallas. Her generosity is legendary and her commitment to Crystal Charity is a tremendous endorsement of the work we do in the community.”
While Annette may never know all the children who have benefited from her support over the years, her acts of generosity are life-changing and will live on through the generations to come.
Since its establishment in 1953, CCB has provided more than $175M to Dallas County children’s charities. This year’s committee of 100 women has a goal of raising more than $7.1M for the 2022 beneficiaries.
