Just days before the SPCA of Texas‘ mega-fundraising Fur Ball, animal loving patrons gathered at The Mason Dallas on Tuesday, September 27. In addition to grazing on all type of goodies and sampling Mijenta Tequila, guests got to meet SPCA furry types like Artemis and Brian and hear details of the 2022 Fur Ball on Saturday, October 1, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Here’s a report from the field:
With the first flush of Fall descending on Dallas, in the glow of golden hour, guests of the SPCA of Texas gathered at the The Mason Dallas to give thanks to patrons and sponsors of the upcoming Fur Ball gala that is taking place this Saturday, October 1, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.
Guests like Dr. Elba Garcia, Ali Turiano and Ismael Santiago, Christie Choi, Worth Harrell, Giana DePaul, Shelby Fuqua, Don Lindsley, Steven Atkinson and Ted Kincaid and Lizzie Richardson relaxed in the glamorous atmosphere among glittering chandeliers, embellished by glorious arrangements thanks to Dr Delphinium, as they mingled and snuggled with two precious pups named Artemis and Brian. FGF Catering provided delicious morsels ranging from a traditional antipasto grazing table to passed delicacies, both savory and sweet.
The evening also featured a special tasting from Mijenta Tequila. Guests sipped on samples Mijenta Tequila Blanco and Tequila Reposado. The full bar featured FIOL Prosecco, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, TX Whiskey and Lakewood Brewing Company beers. Murray Media provided AV for the evening. Valet was a breeze thanks to Gold Crown Valet.
SPCA of Texas President and CEO Karen Froehlich welcomed and thanked the group. She then thanked the Fur Ball Co-Chairs Dhruva and Hiren Patel. The event chairs thanked sponsors. They then gushed about the importance of supporting the SPCA of Texas by explaining that as 84 cents out of every dollar donated is spent directly on animal care, programs, and pet and people services, support for Fur Ball goes a long way to helping the SPCA of Texas provide every animal exceptional care and a loving home.
The Patels showed their appreciation for Live Auction Chair Cindy Lindsley and Table Host Chair Rebecca Marabito, as well as the Fur Ball working group. SPCA of Texas VP of Development Amanda Rainey gave a passionate plea for guests to support the critical, lifesaving work the SPCA of Texas provides that brings healing and hope for thousands of animals each year.
