This evening, as the Dallas streets started filling with early arrivals for Texas-OU weekend and dogs criss-crossed the grounds of Turtle Creek Park, an invite-only crowd including Dallas Park and Recreation Board President Arun Agarwal and Dallas Park and Recreation Department Director John D. Jenkins, Diane and Hal Brierley, Cynthia and Tom Mitchell, Jennifer Chandler, Charlie Shufeldt, Ann and Bob Dyer and Boyd Messmann were on hand to learn the details of the Turtle Creek Conservancy‘s inaugural Luminary Circle Dinner.

According to TCC President Tiffany Divis, the event will take place at the Rosewood Mansion On Turtle Creek on Wednesday, November 9, honoring TCC’s top donors with longtime philanthropists Pat and Charles McEvoy serving as co-chairs.

An additional surprise at tonight’s announcement was a salute to Reuben Naranjo, who is retiring after more than 44 years working as the City of Dallas’ Park and Recreation Department’s Park Maintenance Manager.
As for the November dinner, it won’t be a ticketed affair. The attendance will be limited to members of the TCC’s Master Gardener and Visionary levels. So this is a very good time to join up and support “a Dallas treasure since 1892.”
