Before the 2022-2023 La Fiesta De Las Seis Banderas team takes over, 2021-2022 La Fiesta Co-Chairs Kasey Bevans and Melissa Rieman were recently celebrating the success of their team’s efforts at Highland Park Village’s Mockingbird Room.
Instead of popping champagne corks and fireworks, they opted to hand out checks amounting to $459,861 to area non-profits.
The lucky recipients included Boys and Girls Clubs, CARE Dallas (Chemical Awareness Resource and Education), The Center for Integrative Counseling and Psychology, Connecting Point of Park Cities, Dallas Children’s Theater, Friends of the Highland Park Library, Friends of the University Park Public Library, Highland Park Education Foundation, HP Arts, Highland Park Literary Festival, Highland Park Science & Technology Festival, HPHS Community Service Council, HPHS Student Emergency Fund, HPHS Counseling, HPHS Student Council, Moody Family YMCA/The Rise School, Be Like Me and Park Cities Heritage House at Dallas Heritage Village.
Stay tuned for the announcement of what La Fiesta Co-Chairs Suzanne Brown and Billye Turner have up their fundraising sleeves for the 2022-2023 efforts. It sounds like they already have a full game plan complete with dates set for the families of the duchesses and escorts.
