Since it was announced that Errika Flood-Moultrie and Renita Joyce Smith would be co-chairing the 2022 Chick Lit Luncheon, there’s been a lot of buzz about plans for the event … primarily, who would be the keynote speaker. The guessing game has been played out at morning mom stroller groups, Mahjong get-togethers and catch-up happy hours. After all, the previous three headliners have been Andy Cohen, Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn.
Even the Underwriting Co-Chairs Bonner Allen, Rhonda Sargent Chambers, Kheana Pollard and Kim Stephens-Olusanya and Raffle Chair Elizabeth Ward Creel were tight-lipped about the big name for the Community Partners of Dallas’ fundraiser on Friday, September 30, at the Hilton Anatole.
But the silence is being broken with the official announcement released this afternoon. Here are some clues:
- S/he has hosted an Emmy Award-winning talk show.
- S/he taught at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business from 2017-2020.
- S/he created and executive-produced the first and longest-running, competition-based reality television series, “America’s Next Top Model.”
- S/he was twice named by Time magazine as one of the world’s most influential people.
- S/he has been “dancing with the stars.”
- S/he has launched SMiZE Surprize, a super-premium, innovative ice cream company with an edible surprise in every serving, last July.
- S/he has been on the cover of GQ magazine and Sports Illustrated.
- S/he was one of the original Victoria’s Secret angels. Oops! Guess that was a dead giveaway that the person is a “she.”

The 2022 Chick Lit Luncheon featured speaker will be supermodel/businesswoman/entrepreneur/philanthropist Tyra Banks.
According to CPD President/CEO Paige McDaniel, “Community Partners of Dallas is delighted to host our annual Chick Lit Luncheon with the amazing Tyra Banks as our speaker. A woman who defines the term ‘girl power,’ she is the CEO of her own company, an executive producer, an award-winning talk show host and perhaps most importantly a role model for young women.”
In addition to Tyra’s presence and Laura and Dr. Robert Tafel return as presenting sponsors, Dallas Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall will serve as honorary chair and the CPD will recognize the Crystal Charity Ball’s 70th anniversary year. Thanks to the CCB’s providing more than $3.3M, Community Partners of Dallas has been able to help neglected and abused children of Dallas County take their first steps toward healing.
Sponsorships can be locked down now. Any individual tickets will be available in September.
