What better way to start the first full week of June than with a check presentation … and not just any old check presentation, but a record-breaking one at that.
For racing fans and those who simply love to dress up to see-and-be seen, the 2022 Kentucky Derby‘s upset finish of “dark horse” (aka 80-1 odds) Rich Strike wasn’t the only “Wow!” outcome for the Turtle Creek Conservancy‘s 14th Annual Day At The Races‘ watching/cheering party presented by Truist Bank at Turtle Creek Park on Saturday, May 7.
TCC President/CEO Tiffany Divis and DATR Honorary Co-Chairs Katie and Christian Corts just revealed that thanks to Truist, Honorary Chair Elizabeth Knowles, Underwriting Co-Chairs Lisa and Clay Cooley and Jennifer and Richard Dix, Honorary Emeritus Co-Chairs Doris Jacobs and Teffy Jacobs and a herd of gorgeous types, the fundraiser netted a whopping $320,000 for “the city’s second oldest park.” And that ain’t hay.
