JUST IN: Nothing “Checked” DSOL President Venise Stuart From Presenting A Record-Setting $1.65M

Jun 7, 2022 1:30 PM by Jeanne Prejean

2021-2022 Dallas Symphony Orchestra League President Venise Stuart just couldn’t wait for the big, official-looking check to arrive to hand over $1,650,000 to Dallas Symphony Association CEO Kim Noltemy. So this morning she and DSO Director of Volunteer Services Allison Brodnax pulled together a stand-in. Huddled over the unscrolled, glossy blank check, Venise and Allison scribbled in all the data and made sure that there were just the right number of digits on the total.

Allison Brodnax, Kim Noltemy, Venise Stuart and Carole Ann Brown

Who could blame them? After a pandemic-challenging year of deb presentations, cocktail parties, dinners and private gatherings, Venise and her DSOL committee including 2nd VP of Services Carole Ann Brown, had provided this record-breaking amount to support the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s education and outreach programs.
