North Texas fundraising vet Cara French was no sooner named to chair the 2022 Flora Award Dinner than she announced plans for The Texas Discovery Gardens fundraiser.
The former Cattle Baron’s and Equest Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon chair has picked Thursday, November 10, for the black-tie dinner at The Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park.
And before summer vacations get underway, Cara reports that she’s going to announce the 2022 Flora Award recipient later this month.
The award “recognizes citizens who have demonstrated their commitment to community involvement, education and especially advancement of the environment and quality of life.”
Previous award recipients have included Ruth Altshuler, Ben Carpenter, Rita Clements, Mary Anne Sammons Cree, Nancy and Bob Dedman, Mimi Hodges, Caroline Rose Hunt, Ellen and John McStay, Juanita and Henry S. Miller Jr., Lupe Murchison and Gloria Vanderbilt, to name a few.
Sponsorships and underwriting information will be available in June here.
