With the 2022 Cattle Baron’s Ball preparations underway for the big shindig on Saturday, September 17, at Southfork, the leadership for the 50th anniversary celebration has just been revealed.
On the heels of holding leadership positions for the recent Junior League of Dallas’ Centennial year activities, Andrea Cheek and Isabell Novakov Higginbotham will shift gears to head up the 2023 Cattle Baron’s Ball.
The selection of the ball chair(s) is annually made by the CBB executive committee with feedback from the committee of 100 baronesses.
According to Anne Stodghill, who along with Sunie Solomon co-chaired the CBB executive committee, “We are super excited to announce the 50th annual Cattle Baron’s Ball. And we are honored that Andrea Cheek and Isabell Novakov Higginbotham have agreed to lead our efforts into our next half century. We are confident that with the experience that these ladies have with their literally combined decades of experience in fundraising in the Dallas community that we will be able to raise even more money than ever to support the cancer research in our North Texas community.”
Since 1974, when Patti Williams Hunt and Jacque Wynne kicked off the mega-fundraiser at Star Brand Ranch, CBB has raised more than $89M for cancer research, the majority of which is conducted in DFW. True to Texas’ history of rising to a challenge, CBB has become the world’s largest single-night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Party on, ladies, to “lasso a cure.”
