It was back in March 2020 when the pandemic swept the world into a historic state of social distancing. While some non-profits pivoted to virtual fundraising, DIFFA/Dallas organizers probably realized that its legendary “over-the-top fundraising event” needed to be seen and experienced in-person.
Now that the North Texans are emerging from their masks, it has been announced that the 30th anniversary of DIFFA/Dallas’ “House of DIFFA – Extravaganza” will take place on Saturday, May 7, at the Omni Dallas Hotel.
Returning to co-chair the event will be DIFFA/Dallas vets Clint Bradley, Justin Bundick, Brittanie Buchanan Oleniczak and Jim DiMarino, who “have each played a critical role in guiding DIFFA/Dallas’ success through the years.”
While the evening will once again include a cocktail reception and silent and live auctions that include designer jackets (i.e. Veronica Beard, Badgley Mischka, Uncommon Man, DSquared, Alberta Ferretti, Andre Yabin, Don Morphy, etc.) and a seated dinner, the highlight will once again be the amazing runway action of couture attire and costumes.
In addition to Presenting Sponsor The Louis L. Borick Foundation, the title sponsor is Headington Companies along with its retailers and The Joule Hotel.
While individual tickets are not available at this time, you might want to sign up for the wait list.
With a mission to end the spread of HIV/AIDS, proceeds from the night will be distributed to 27 North Texas non-profits “providing education and direct care services grants for men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.”
