ChildCareGroup CEO/President Tori Mannes has been as busy as a COVID testing site. Not only did she take a deep breath and cancel the CCG’s 120th Anniversary Celebration last week, she dealt with the non-profit’s fav brain teaser fundraiser The Great Adventure Hunt that was scheduled for this Friday (aka January 21).
But being the daughter of Dr. Gail Thomas, Tori wasn’t about to cancel another event. So, she along with TGAH Co-Chairs Rebecca Acuna and Rafael Anchia and The Statler staff took on the challenge of rescheduling the fun-and-games event.
The result — TGAH will indeed take place in-person at The Statler, but it will be on Friday, April 22.
According to Rebecca and Rafael, “The Great Adventure Hunt is one of Dallas’ most fun and unique fundraising events. While we are sorry to have to postpone the January 21 event due to the Omicron surge, we look forward to seeing both our longtime Hunters and rookie Hunters on our new date — Friday, April 22 at The Statler — for a fun and challenging evening of puzzle-solving.”
If ever there was a time when folks needed an outlet for the stress of the past months, this event is the perfect answer. It will truly give a night off for COVID stress and help raise very needed funds “to champion a strong two-generation system that teaches children and parents, trains early childhood professionals and assists families.”
While Pepsico is the presenting sponsor, other brainiac type sponsors include:
- Puzzle Sponsor — Lyda Hill
- Cocktail Reception Sponsor — Bank of Texas
- Kick-Off Sponsor — Atmos Energy
So, if you’re one of those serious types who doesn’t have fun, why not support an organization that has been helping support and education area youngsters? Donating is really rather gratifying for both the donor and the generations to come.
BTW, there are still sponsorship opps available by contacting Melissa Hammonds at 214.905.2404.
