Jan 21, 2022 1:30 PM by Jeanne Prejean

It’s that time of year when there is a changing of the guard of board members and the latest to report is the Friends of the Katy Trail. Replacing outgoing members Haylee Hall, Troy Daniel, JB Hayes and past Board Chair Charlie Shufeldt are Usua Amanam, Dan Chesnut, Amanda Lockhart, Ray Washburne and Peggy Zilbermann.

According to Board President Eric Paulson, “Our organization has a lot of momentum. These talented new board members will give us even more energy and ideas to make sure that we keep the Katy Trail the amazing resource it is for our growing city.”

Before Charlie transitioned off the board, Katy Trail Executive Director Amy Bean presented him with the Katy Trail David Stocks award for his “outstanding service to the Friends of the Katy Trail.”

In other news for the Trail, Ann Whitley Wood’s role has been expanded. She’s now senior director, major gifts and membership. If you want to get in touch with Ann about joining the Friends and/or making a nice gift, you can reach her here.
