According to Dream Center Dallas Director Kacie Kintz,

“At Dream Center Dallas, we want to ensure parents in Dallas can have wrapped presents under the Christmas tree this year for their children without having to worry about the financial burden it may cause. On Saturday, December 11, at 12 p.m., Dream Center Dallas volunteers are hosting a shopping experience for parents in Dallas to choose gifts for their children at no cost, while supplies last. The event will be held in the parking lot of our new Dream Center Dallas building that is currently being renovated at 1900 S. Ewing Ave, Dallas, TX 75216.

“At the event, kids can enjoy the different holiday activities we will have, such as Christmas cookie decorating, hot chocolate, pictures with Santa and more. This will give the parents the opportunity to have time alone to pick out a special toy for their children and then wrap the gift at the gift wrapping station we will have on site, so kids can’t take a peek before the holiday. Santa will be there to take photos with families as well.

“We hope to be able to provide relief to parents in the area and give children the chance to experience the magical spirit of Christmas.

“For anyone who is in the position and able to help, we are asking for volunteers to help work the event, funding donations, and gifts donations for the shopping experience. To sign up to volunteer, visit dreamcenterdallas.com/programs. To donate financially, visit dreamcenterdallas.com/donate. For the gift donations, we are looking for new items such as shoes of all sizes, toys and bicycles for all ages. We accepted gifts from Monday, November 22, through Sunday, December 5, at Church Eleven32 at 630 Rivercrest Blvd., Allen, TX 75002, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

“Our mission at Dream Center Dallas is to connect people to a community of support by providing free resources and services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, abuse, education and human trafficking.”
