According to 2022 Crystal Charity Ball Chair Susan Farris,
“‘The wonders of tomorrow are built on the works of today.’ – Kelton Stewart
“This quote summarizes my wish for this holiday season and the coming year. Since 1952, the Crystal Charity Ball has benefited 152 children’s charities in Dallas County with more than $165 million distributed to date. Beneficiaries have ranged from Children’s Medical Center to The Salvation Army to Scottish Rite For Children (formerly known as Texas Scottish Rite Hospital) for Children. The Crystal Charity Ball committee’s sole purpose is to serve the children of Dallas
“The common thread is that children are the future and they need everyone’s help. Every child deserves an education, healthcare, safety and positive reinforcement. The statistics for this unique organization are impressive:
- “69 years of serving the community
- “152 children’s charities benefited
- “29,473 children will benefit in 2021
- “87% children served living below the poverty line
- “100 active volunteers
- “18,900 committee volunteer hours
“In February, the Crystal Charity Ball Committee, after weeks of extensive research and vetting, will identify several children’s charities as the 2022 Beneficiaries. Charity Selection Committee members, along the accounting firm Deloitte, have carefully studied dozens of requests and proposals that will be presented to the entire Crystal Charity Ball membership.
“The campaign to fund these worthy recipients will begin in March and we invite you to partner with us in this endeavor.
