“For more than half a century, the Callier Center for Communication Disorders has given thousands of children and adults with speech, language and hearing disorders the ability to communicate and connect. Callier pioneers’ clinical innovations that are translated directly from researchers in our labs to patients in our clinic, as our students receive cutting-edge, real-world training.

“Callier’s Doctor of Audiology program ranks No. 2 in the nation, and our Speech-Language Pathology master’s program ranks No. 10 and is the largest in the country. Through the integration of our three-part treatment, training and research mission, Callier transforms the lives of those with communication disorders across the nation through the dissemination of our research, replication of our diagnostic and treatment protocols, and as our students graduate and care for patients wherever they choose to live.

“Through UT Dallas’ first campaign, Realize the Vision, which raised more than $273 million, Callier’s growth was catapulted by advancing infrastructure through capital projects including the Callier Richardson Expansion, the Callier Clinical Research Center and the Bert Moore Courtyard on campus, as well as the Callier Autism Center in Dallas.

“In May, UT Dallas launched its second comprehensive campaign — New Dimensions — with a goal of $750 million to attract the best and brightest students, enhance lives through transformative research and transform the arts on campus.

“Callier’s first comprehensive campaign was an investment in our infrastructure — building state-of-the-art facilities for treatment, training and research. This remarkable milestone laid the foundation for our second comprehensive campaign.

“The campaign is structured around Callier’s 3-part mission: excellence in treatment, training and research. The integration of Callier’s treatment, training and research mission gives our clinicians, students and researchers the unique opportunity to work together to make life better for patients.

“Through excellence in treatment, we will ensure that patients receive unmatched, cutting-edge clinical care by investing in master clinicians, creating and strengthening treatment programs, and providing access to care for those in need.

“Through excellence in training, we will elevate our nationally ranked academic programs to be the most sought-after clinical and research training for speech, language and hearing by increasing diversity, awarding need- and merit-based fellowships, and producing clinician-scientists who will define the future of care.

“Through excellence in research, we will further the field of speech, language and hearing disorders by shaping the Callier Clinical Research Center into a national research hub for translating innovation into optimal outcomes for people with communication disorders.

“With your help, we will raise $15 million to support the Callier family through gifts that will transform the way communication disorders are diagnosed and treated, leading to groundbreaking advancements in patient care.
