Dallas CASA has already locked down the date for its annual Cherish The Children Luncheon. Co-Chairs and former Dallas CASA Children’s Council presidents and board members Beth Cholerton and Hannah May have scheduled the event at the Dallas Omni Hotel on Friday, May 6.
Serving as program host will be Dallas CASA Board Chair-Elect/Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall.

While last year’s fundraiser was forced to go virtual due to the COVID restrictions, it was able to recognize the North Texas Funders Collaborative with the Caroline Rose Hunt Cherish The Children Award. It was during the most daunting days of the pandemic that the Collaborative stepped forward almost immediately providing critical support for area non-profits.

This year’s in-person luncheon will once again feature a silent auction of hand-painted children’s furniture as well as a keynote speaker and the presentation of the Award to a recipient who will named in the weeks ahead.
Unfortunately, while the pandemic caused an overwhelming caseload of patients in area hospitals, it also created the need for 1,527 Dallas CASA volunteers to advocate for 3,374 Dallas children in protective care. The advocates’ efforts continue to “help judges decide the services each child needs to heal from trauma and the best outcome for a safe and permanent home.”
