This weekend is going to an all-out winner. In addition to user-friendly temperatures and sunny skies, you’re going to be able to finally get that hour you lost last March thanks to ever-controversial Daylight Saving Time.
But along with the hour payback, there will be other changes. For instance, while sunrise and sunset will take place at 7:49 a.m. and 6:32 p.m., respectively, on Saturday, on Sunday the sun will officially rise at 6:50 a.m. and the sun will set at 5:31 p.m.
Here are some suggestions on how to handle the time change:
- Check the batteries in your fire/smoke/carbon monoxide detectors.
- Consider moving your kids and pets activities (i.e. naps, walks, feeding, etc.) earlier by 30 minutes before Sunday.
- Try not to schedule any major decisions or meetings for the two days following the change.
- Celebrate the fact that you’ll have an extra hour to use your 2021 Partners Card before it all ends Sunday night.
And, of course, turn your clocks back an hour before you go to sleep Saturday.
