Well, drat it! Less than a week away and the Dallas Kappa Kappa Gammas Alumnae Association’s 2021 Tablescapes on Tuesday, October 12, at the Dallas Country Club is so sold out. Shouldn’t surprise anybody with the lineup of 2021 Tablescape designers, speaker Alex Hitz, Honorary Chair Becky Brantley McCamey, 2021 Kappa Tablescapes Platinum Key Honoree Peggy Sewell and raffle items that Co-Chairs Anne Mann, Cathy McEachern and Lacy Schultz have put together. It’s been such a sell-out that the Golden Fleur-de-Lis ($10,000), Silver Fleur-de-Lis ($8,000), Fleur-de-Lis ($5,000) and Golden Key ($3,000) sponsorships have been snapped up.
And speaking of sponsorships, Presenting Sponsor Central Market is celebrating its 20th anniversary of partnering with keyholders in a big way. In addition to its $20,000 presenting sponsorship, the North Texas foodie fav is matching donations (i.e., raffle tickets, donations, etc.) up to $20,000 to support the Kappas’ 2021 beneficiaries (Angel Flight South Central, Aspire, Attitudes And Attire, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand, Camp John Marc, Jonathan’s Place, Juliette Fowler Communities, The Salvation Army, St. Philip’s School And Community Center, The Warren Center and Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation). In other words, Central Market just may end up supporting the Kappas to the tune of a whopping $40,000. Now that’s a lot of lettuce!
So why not buy a bunch of raffle tickets to help meet the match. There’s a whole collection of items including a Eiseman Jewels necklace, a Central Market $1,000 shopping spree, a Highland Park Village $1,000 shopping experience, The Bakermama Board Building experience valued at $2,500 and other goodies form Southwest Airlines, Rosewood’s Mansion on Turtle Creek, Jimmy Choo and Dallas Associated Dermatologist. Tickets are going for $25 per/five for $100 and can be purchased online.
And if you positively had your heart set on seeing the table creations, there’s still hope. Anne, Cathy and Lacy fessed up that there are a scant few tickets still available for Tablescapes by Candlelight on the night before (aka Columbus Day night). Seriously! Candlelight is such a fun occasion with guests grazing around and checking out the table looks of the season that it’s no wonder husbands, boyfriends, brothers and other guys actually look forward to table hopping.
