When Klyde Warren Park’s Siamese twin events Park and Palate’s two-day fundraiser — an evening seated dinner Party in the Park and a daytime Food And Wine Festival — were officially separated by seasons, some wondered how successful the two would be on their own.

It looks like the wondering is over for Party in the Park. The elegant evening of supping at Klyde Warren on Wednesday, October 13, is sold out!
Presented by Republic National Distributing Company, the evening co-chaired by Lynn and Allan McBee with Honorary Co-Chairs Kathryn and Craig Hall will include more that fine vittles. Sheila and Jody Grant have arranged to have the three-time, Emmy Award-winning The Texas Trio provide the evening’s entertainment.

And while the Park is dazzling under the open sky and surrounded by the downtown and uptown skylines, Todd Events will add a special “Wow!” look to the grounds.
According to Lynn, “Klyde Warren Park is a priceless amenity for our city, and we are honored to raise necessary funds and awareness to maintain the beloved green space and its wonderful programming.”
Monies raised thanks to Party in the Park will support “maintenance, special programs and educational activities for more than one million visitors each year.”
As Park President Kit Sawer explained, “Proceeds from this special night under the stars will ensure we are able to maintain the Park as a safe outdoor gathering space for everyone. The Park’s equitable access has proven a critical lifeline during the pandemic for patrons seeking exercise, solace and community building.”
If you’ve missed out on Party In The Park, start making plans now to be part of its cousin Food and Wine Festival in May.
