Parkland Foundation Board Has New Officers And Directors For Its 2022 Fiscal Year

To kick off its 2022 fiscal year on Friday, October 1, the Parkland Foundation Board of Directors has a new slate of officers and members.

Serving as the Board’s president will be Dr. Brad Hirsh, who will be joined by Vice-Chair Danny Tobey, Secretary Laura Granado-Ugge and Treasurer Peter Bartholow.

According to Parkland Foundation President/CEO Michael Horne, “The events of the past year have demonstrated the need for a strong public health system. I am honored to work alongside our Board and leaders across the system to generate philanthropic investments to advance Parkland’s mission.”

Coming on board literally as new directors are Christina Eubanks, Jesse Jackson, Karin Larrave and Lynn McBee.

In recognizing the new group of directors, Brad commented, “they are key to advancing our mission of expanding access to the world-class healthcare delivered by Parkland. Their breadth of backgrounds help ensure they will have an immediate impact and allow us to continue to provide high-quality, safe patient care for Dallas County residents.”

 Parkland Foundation Board of Directors names new members, officers
DALLAS –Parkland Foundation has announced the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors, according to Board Chair Brad Hirsh, MD. In addition, the Board has announced its Executive Officers for fiscal year 2022, which began Oct. 1.

Along with Dr. Hirsch, Board officers for 2022 include Danny Tobey, vice chair; Laura Granado-Ugge, secretary; and Peter Bartholow, treasurer.

“We are thrilled to welcome a new group of directors to the Parkland Foundation Board,” said Dr. Hirsch. “They are key to advancing our mission of expanding access to the world class healthcare delivered by Parkland. Their breadth of backgrounds help ensure they will have an immediate impact and allow us to continue to provide high-quality, safe patient care for Dallas County residents.”

New board members include:

  • Christina Eubanks: Eubanks brings nearly 20 years of corporate finance experience to the board, currently serving as the Director of Finance for Main Event Entertainment. She has led multiple companies through private equity transactions, hyper-growth phases and the COVID-19 pandemic. She also serves on the board for the Junior League of Dallas, which partners with more than 30 local agencies including Parkland.
  • Jesse Jackson: Jackson’s 30-year banking career spans several areas. Currently in the role of Executive Vice President and Financial Institutions Group President for b1Bank, he previously oversaw Texas Capital Bank’s Dallas Commercial Banking practice and provided leadership at The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, Origin Bancorp Inc., and JPMorgan Chase, among others. Jackson is a board member at Texas A&M University – Mays Business School Finance & Commercial Banking Program and Woodall Rogers Park Foundation.
  • Karin Larrave: Larrave, a Wealth Management Advisor with Northwestern Mutual for more than 20 years, believes that legacy-building and philanthropy are about defining your purpose and serving others. She and her team serve clients from a variety of industries, including primary healthcare providers and business owners. Larrave also supports medical missions in Latin America.
  • Lynn McBee: As a volunteer leader in Dallas for more than 27 years, McBee has provided more than 45,000 hours of service for more than 30 non-profit groups. She is a manager and employee owner of New England Biolabs, a world leader in genomic research, and served as CEO of Young Women’s Preparatory Network, a public-private partnership that creates STEM-focused schools of choice in an all-girls setting.
