Unlike years past, Dallas’ Heroes And Handbags is swapping its usual auction in a hotel’s ballroom. This Friday the Heroes For Children will be taking place in a private residence in the tony town of Highland Park.

And Co-Chairs Alison Malone and Kelley Schadt didn’t stop there. They decided on a “new format.” Instead of a sit-down luncheon, the gals realized that during this busy time of year, it would make so much more sense to allow guests to enjoy an in-person “come-and-go brunch.” That way they can brunch-and-browse-and-bid on the handbags valued at $300+.

If you’ve never attended the event, the items on the block are new and gently experienced handbags that have been donated by individuals and retailers.

VIP types will be able to have a sneak sip and shop from 10 to 11 a.m., with the main event taking place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets can be snapped up here.

Since it was established in 2004, Heroes for Children has provided $6.5M of financial and social assistance for families facing the daunting battle of pediatric cancer.
