With a little more than six hours to go, 2021 North Texas Giving Day just whipped past the $48.6M point. Now, the nail biting is underway as North Texas non-profits and the Communities Foundation of Texas team sprint to the midnight finish line.
It’s better than reality TV. Will they make it past 2020’s $58M goal? If they do, will they squeak by or will they stampede ahead? The answer now lies in the hands of donors.
If you have a non-profit that you’ve been on the fence about supporting, get off the fence and help them. There are still some organizations, like Watermark Health, Habitat for Humanity of Collin County, Metrocrest Services, Arlington Life Shelter, In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center and 29 Acres, with matches still remaining to be met.
So, tally-ho and go give.

Reading your upbeat reporting about all the good deeds and philanthropic spirit of our area is the most beautiful way to begin each day. Thank, you, Jeanne, for being the Good News Fairy and reminding us all that people really DO cre about others, regardless of what the mainstream media would like us to believe. Positive energy begets positive mindsets and our entire country needs to read what you report on, as no doubt to varying degrees it goes on across this great nation of ours. MSC was a brilliant idea to remind us to care for others and to contribute in any way we can.
