According to 2021 Equest Women’s Auxiliary Luncheon and Fashion Show Chair Beth Layton,
“For more than 40 years, Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship has improved the lives of children and adults with diverse needs through equine-assisted activities and therapies.
“Equest annually serves nearly 2,000 participants whose diagnoses range from Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism to veterans with adjustment challenges, giving each an opportunity to strengthen body, mind and spirit for an improved quality of life.
“Together with our Honorary Chairman, Nancy Carter, we hope you will join us in support of these programs by attending the 2021 Equest Women’s Auxiliary Luncheon and Fashion Show, Back In the Saddle, in honor of the riders who are back at Equest working with their Equine partners.
“The event will be Tuesday, October 5, at Brook Hollow Golf Club and proceeds will directly benefit Equest. We are also celebrating our 15th year of collaborating with Presenting Sponsor Highland Park Village. We are fortunate that the show will again be produced by the enormously talented Jan Strimple.
“At the luncheon, we will present the 2001 Equest Community Service Award to Robyn Conlon in recognition of her vision, commitment and leadership. She has been an ardent supporter for more than a quarter of a century and is a Lifetime Member of the Women’s Auxiliary.
“We hope you will join us for a fun day benefiting such a worthy and life-changing cause while honoring Robyn and Nancy for their commitment to Equest and the community.
