At this time area children’s hospitals are really being challenged by COVID. There are reportedly no ICU beds available at pediatric hospitals and the staffs are working around-the-clock to care for their little patients and families.
With this development, the Klyde Warren Park crew has taken the step to postpone this weekend’s “child-focused” activities — The Boho “Mini” Market and the screening of “Dora and the Lost City of Gold.”
According to organizers the reason is,
Given the record-high number of pediatric COVID-19 patients and lack of available ICU beds for children recently announced by the DFW Hospital Council, Klyde Warren Park is postponing child-focused events scheduled for this weekend. The Park remains open, and our other programs will continue.”
The good news is that there are still plenty of reasons for folks to visit the park with their munchkins. Like for instance? How about Children’s Park, the splash pads, the food trucks, the free burgers in the Park with Beyond Meat, Lawn Games and Imagination Playground?
