According to Community Partners of Dallas President/CEO Paige McDaniel,
“At Community Partners of Dallas, the abused and neglected kids we serve are not approaching the start of school with excitement and support, knowing they may not have the supplies needed for them to succeed.

“That’s why supporting our 28th annual Back to School Drive not only ensures that our kids are ready to start the school year, but also allows them to start on equal footing as their peers. We hope the community will join us by organizing their own school drives or by donating and letting us do the shopping, so we can reach our goal of providing 3,000 backpacks filled with age appropriate school supplies and uniforms.

“CPD is collecting supplies as well as virtual contributions, and customized donation links can be made for companies or groups who prefer to participate collectively online. In addition to supplies such as safety scissors, colored pencils, watercolor paint sets, markers, and construction paper, CPD needs backpacks, wide-ruled notebook paper, glue, block erasers, index cards, calculators and manila paper. As well, monetary donations of any amount are graciously accepted; with CPD’s bulk purchasing, $1 donated equals $6 worth of school supplies.
“All donations will be accepted through Friday, August 27, 2021, and can be delivered to Community Partners of Dallas’ Central location, 7950 Elmbrook Drive, Dallas, Texas 75247. For more information, visit the CPD website or contact Stephanie Berry, [email protected] or 214.624.7588.”
