The Junior Leaguers of Collin County decided that “women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers” needed a pat on the back. To do this, they created the Collin County Women of Influence Awards to “celebrate volunteerism by recognizing influential women volunteers who live, work and serve in Collin County.”
