Thursday night 2021 Cattle Baron’s Co-Chair Heather Randall looked like the Cheshire Cat in the Nasher Sculpture Center for The Family Place‘s ReuNight. When asked what was up, she just shook her head and the smile grew bigger.
And now the reason for that big, Texas grin has just been revealed. The 2021 Cattle Baron’s Ball has a presenting sponsor for its world-famous fundraiser that has provided more than $86M for the American Cancer Society’s North Texas research and development.
It’s none other than Dallas-based Texas Oncology that has been providing “the oncology needs of Texans for more than 35 years including Texas Center for Proton Therapy, Texas Breast Specialists and Texas Center for Interventional Surgery.” Thanks to its role “as a leader participant in US Oncology Research, Texas Oncology played a role in the development of more than 90 FDA-approved therapies, about one-third of all cancer therapies approved to date.”
It’s no wonder that this group that has been on the frontline of battling cancer has stepped up to lead 2021 CBB’s “doubling down against cancer” on Saturday, October 23, at Gilley’s Dallas with Dierks Bentley and Cole Swindell entertaining.
According to Texas Oncology President/CEO Dr. Steven Paulson, “Texas Oncology is happy to step up as the presenting sponsor of this important event. Raising money to support cancer research is critical to advancing treatment options as well [as] improving outcomes for cancer patients.”
