Callier Cares Luncheon’s Net Of $240,650 Busts The $2M Mark For 10th Anniversary of Event’s Fundraising

May 10, 2021 9:30 AM by Jeanne Prejean

When you put a powerhouse team to work, you can almost guarantee to break things… like records. That’s what happened when the trio of Foundation of Callier Center and Communication Disorders President Emilynn Wilson, 2021 Callier Cares Luncheon Chair Pam Busbee and Underwriting Chair Christie Carter got together for the virtual event on Monday, April 19.

They not only honored Betsy and Bennett Cullum with the 2021 Ruth and Ken Altshuler Callier Cares Award and Barbara and John Stuart with the 2020 Award, they had Miami Marlins pitcher Cason Sherrod provide a testimonial.

The result? They netted $240,650. That number ended up having the 10th anniversary luncheon break the $2M mark benefiting Callier Center for Communication Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas.
