Jana and Mike Brosin don’t give up easily. And when it comes to the American Heart Association, it’s literally a cause dear to their hearts. When they had to postpone last November’s “The Heart of Collin County – Heart Fest” with Robert Earl Keen performing at Crest Cadillac/Infiniti/Volvo in Frisco complete with black car service due to COVID-19’s very tight restrictions, the Brosins just weren’t giving up on the fundraiser.
Thanks to their patience and the loosening of restrictions, “The Heart of Collin County – Heart Fest” is back on the schedule for Sunday, May 2, at the Crest complex complete with a Keen concert, black car service and a four-course chef tasting menu with cocktail pairing led by The Crest Bistro Lead Chef Hugh Stewart.
And what would a North Texas fundraiser be without silent and live auctions? And that live auction is going to be lively indeed. It will include tickets to the 2021 Ryder Cup, a Broken Bow getaway in Oklahoma with a personal chef, at-home chef tasting packages and a fine jewelry auction package.
Sponsored by Toyota and Crest Cars, proceeds from the event will support the American Heart Association’s cardiovascular research and heart health programs.
However, ticket availability is limited, so procrastination ain’t a good thing.
