Before today’s showers swallowed up North Texas, the 2021 Cattle Baron’s Ball committee created a fashionable traffic jam in the Smoky Rose parking lot. In addition to celebrating its annual spring luncheon, the luncheon proved to be the season’s first major showing of lipstick, perfumes and elevated footwear that had been stowed away due to more than a year of pandemic non-showing.
From the moment they exited their vehicles, it was obvious that the ladies had definitely swapped their sweats for skirts of varying hem lengths, flipped their flops for stilettos and doffed their masks to showcase glossy lips framing perfect enamels.
