Last year’s Great Adventure Hunt’s going virtual was such a hit, 2021 Great Adventure Hunt Co-Chairs Helen and Brendan McGuire and Amber and John Scanlan decided to play it safe with an encore of the ChildCareGroup fundraiser on Friday, April 16. Their goal is to raise more than last year’s $250,000.
As for the virtual game playing, teams of six Hunters (aka guests) will gather in their own war rooms to solve “Escape Room”-like puzzles based on a theme. This year’s theme will be “A Night At The Movies.”
That means that Hunters will be able to “dress in their favorite movie-star attire.” Every look from the Golden Age of Hollywood to today’s Marvel Heroes will “use the basic domains of learning that ChildCareGroup teaches its young students: Language and literacy, cognitive and early STEM, find and gross motor and social-emotional skills.”
Presented by PNC Bank, each team will receive “a hand-delivered, customized PNC Bank Clue Bag as well as refreshments sponsored by Bank of Texas.” After logging into a special website for an orientation of the night’s program, “Hunters will have 90 minutes to solve the puzzles and send their answer sheets back electronically to be tallied” before the winners are announced.
Co-Chair Brendan, who is PNC’s Regional President/Head of Corporate Banking for North Texas, explained, “PNC is closely aligned with ChildCareGroup’s mission, as we seek to provide high-quality early childhood education resources to impact school readiness through our $500 million early childhood education initiative, PNC Grow Up Great®.”
It’s not too late to join the “adventure.” Just gather your Hunters and sign up here. And don’t forget to take photos of your team’s “look.” You just know creativity always impresses.
