With the state’s mask mandate being lifted on Wednesday, event organizers are in a quandary over how to read the tea leaves. While the most of the spring fundraisers are staying virtual or moving to the great outdoors, it’s the fall season that has become a challenge. Healthcare providers worry that another COVID-19 surge could result from the opening of the state, while others feel that vaccinations hitting arms in rapid fire will safeguard future get-togethers.
Aren’t you glad you’re not an event planner having to make a “lady or the tiger” choice?
In the meantime, here are a couple of changes in the scheme of things:
Going Virtual
- Attorneys Serving The Community’s 34th Annual Luncheon scheduled for Friday, June 25
Rescheduled
- Dallas Symphony Orchestra League’s Fashion Notes scheduled for Tuesday, October 19, at the Fairmont Dallas has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 21
If you’re up in the air on whether to venture out or stay glued to your monitor, remember making a donation to your favorite charity requires no masks, social distancing or leaving home.
