The Senior Source Is Celebrating Its 60th Anniversary With Dance Contest And Fundraising Campaign

Feb 9, 2021 9:30 AM by Jeanne Prejean

With The Senior Source’s Spirit of Generations Luncheon last month in the rearview mirror honoring Pam and Tom Luce along with Barbara Delabano receiving the Molly H. Bogen Service Award, The Senior Source team now has their sights set on the nonprofit’s 60th anniversary year.

President/CEO Stacey Malcolmson revealed that plans are underway to celebrate the organization that was established in 1961 to “enhance the quality of life of older adults in Dallas.”

It’s hard to imagine that was the same year that John F. Kennedy was sworn in as President of the U.S.; The Beatles performed for the first time with George Harrison on board; Barbie got a boyfriend named Ken; Six Flags Over Texas opened to the public and George Clooney was born.

According to Stacey, “We will be celebrating with a dance contest and a fundraising campaign that will help us for the next 60 years!”

Serving as the campaign’s honorary co-chairs will be Betty and John Taylor.

Stay tuned for more details to come.
