For some folks 3.1 miles is a literal walk-in-the-park; for others it’s quite a stretch. That’s why Dallas CASA Young Professionals have created a personalized walk/jog/run for the first Virtual Superhero 5K. From Sunday, March 1, to Sunday, March 7, folks can “set their own pace” accomplish their 3.1-mile (aka 5K) goal.
Pre-registration will not only get you a Superhero 5K T-shirt, it will also provide you with a link to upload your time.
Of course, there will be prizes awarded for the best run time recorded in several categories. But don’t go thinking that your walking 3.1 miles in seven days will prevent you from scoring a prize. There will be “special recognition” for the best Superhero costume.
Presented by the Littletons and Thompson Knight Foundation, the fundraiser benefiting Dallas CASA is being co-chaired by Mindy Busch, Sonya Reddy and Ben Riemer.
Registration and sponsorships are available here.
