Mother Nature Is Going To Take North Texas For A Dippity Doozy Of Temperatures This Week

Feb 8, 2021 5:30 PM by Jeanne Prejean

The area weather guessers are all in a spin over this week’s roller coaster of temperatures ranging from Monday’s high of 62 degrees to a below-freezing 25 degrees on Thursday night. Could icy streets be in the future? If so, take it slow if you must get out.

The long-term forecast is suggesting that starting this Thursday the temperature highs are going to stay in the 40s at the best for a week.

Still it’s far better than what’s blizzard blasting the Northeast and Midwest.

But be prepared. Make sure that pipes are wrapped; pets are inside; plants are protected and people are safe and warm.

For those scheduled for COVId-19 vaccination sites, take in to account the change of weather. If you’re heading to one of the drive-thru operations, check the news media to make sure that your location is up and running, have plenty of gas and put a couple of blankets in the car. Also, bring along patience and understanding. Those healthcare providers providing the vaccinations are facing the cold to help you stay healthy.

On the other hand, if you’re going to an indoor vaccination facility, dress warmly from the top of your perfectly coiffed head to the tip of your finely manicured toes.

WARNING: This aint’ nothing compared to what lies ahead this weekend.
